The outdoor environment as a learning garden

Gulbene 2nd preeschool "Rūķitis" has been approved as a cooperation partner for participation in the Norplus Junior program project "Learning gardens".
Project partners:

· Gulbene 2nd preschool educational institution "Rūķitis" (LV)
· Futuraskolan International preschool educational institution Gåshaga (SE)
The goal of the "Learning gardens" project is to enrich the exchange of experience of pedagogues by providing partner teachers with practical work methods and knowledge needed to effectively integrate the outdoor learning environment into the curriculum.
The duration of the project is two years, starting from August 1, 2024 and ending on July 31, 2026.
All project partners actively participate in the development of project methodology, share examples of good practice.
Project activities:

- international meetings;

- conducting seminars, training and exchange visits;

- systematic creation of a set of tools to make the most of the educational outdoor environment, complete with lesson plans and appropriate teaching methodology.
