Project "Stronger together 2"

During 9 months of working in kindergarten, Alessia has shown herself as a nice, responsive, hardworking and sensitive person, and a mature, emotionally intelligent personality. She takes every task, small or significant, invariably. Having learned the Latvian language, she enjoys communicating with every kindergarten employee. At the beginning of August, Lea Thurnher, a young volunteer from the 2019/20 project “Stronger together” from Austria, visited the kindergarten. Together with Alessia, the young women discussed their impressions during the project and spent joint activities visiting the cultural and historical sites of Gulbene region and the city.

The month of July was busy for Alessiai, as Latvian cities and parishes were toured to get acquainted with natural, cultural and historical objects: · Bottle garden in Litene; Alūksne urban objects and animal shelter “Tails and mustaches”, a trip with a narrow-gauge railway Alūksne-Gulbene; · One-day boating on the Pededze River; · Limbaži - Silver Museum, lavender fields 'Lillas' and seaside beach in Tūja; · Valmiera Baskāju trail, Ezermalu zoo, Z-tower railway cycling track; cider fact ...

On the June of 22, Midsummer's Day was celebrated in kindergarten. Alessia, together with the children of the "Bunny" group, created a flower bonfire from the Midsummer hall. Alessia learned to braid a flower wreath. Alessai was introduced to the Latvian folk games, which are sung at the Midsummer Festival. 

On 17th of June Alessia celebrates her birthday. The scent of flowers vibrates in the air, sweet words and wishes in hearts, cake and snacks in puffs. Fun, enthusiastic activities and a group from Italy who came to greet the partygoer. A surprise trip by Gulbene electric train was also organized.

Alessia prepared a didactic game as part of the theme "Human Senses".

Continuing to master the theme of the month on human senses Alessia and Anette made "stress balls" with the children of the "Ezīši" group. It was introduced to one of the senses - touch.

Within the theme of month "Human senses" Alessia together with the groups "Bizmārītes" and "Ezīši" gets to know one of the human senses-sight.

On 4th of June Alessia, Annette and Christoph met with their mentors to sign Youthpass. An evening was spent in cordial and fun conversations.

On 3rd of June Alessia together with children of group "Hedgehog" participated in the event "European Mile" organized by the Latvian Folk Sports Association. Children actively spent the day at Gulbene Stadium in activities organized by Alessia. Annette and Christoph also joined this event on 4th of June. Annette  and Christoph together with children of groups "Cālīši" and "Zaķīši" went their own mile.
