On 2nd of June Alessia, Annette and Christoph visited the home cheese factory "Pakalnieši" in Gulbene. The young people looked at the cheese production process and tasted the most popular types of cheese.
Alessia, Annette and Christoph visited the city Aluksne. The young people visited animal shelter "Tails and Mustache". The castle island was viewed. The young people went back to Gulbene by Gulbene-Aluksne train.
1-st of June young volunteers organized interactive workshops for children of all groups. Activities organized by the young people were interesting and varied. Children had the opportunity to blow soap bubbles, create a joint painting, dance German and Italian children's dances. Thank you for a bright and joyful day!
On 31st of May, Alessia, Annette and Christoph participated in the project progress of our kindergarden evaluation meeting on the Zoom platform. The young people expressed their thoughts on what they have gained during the project by working in a pre-school educational institution and listened to the PII staff's assessment of the cooperation in recent months.
Alessia, together with Annette and Christoph Franz, took part in the graduation of kindergarden graduates, preparing attractive activities: Alessia- farewell congratulations to the children. Alessia spent an active and creative day together with the 3-year-old children's group "Bizmārītes", independently creating learning tasks and leading activities.
Alessia, Annette and Christoph lead outdoor classes with purchased basketballs. They are also trying to throw power balls into the basket.
Christoph introduced the children of the "Hedgehog" group to Austria. The children had the opportunity to see Christoph's house, try their hand at yodeling. In turn, Annette presented her country Germany to the children of the "Butterfly" group. Introduced one of the traditions of Cologne - the mask procession. The children also heard a fairy tale about Cinderella in German.
Despite the bad weather conditions the participants of the project "Stronger together 2" Alessia, Annette, Christoph and the project support persons in Gulbene 2.PII - Elīna and Aiga- participated in the Big Cleanup activity cleaning up the city of Gulbene. Waste was collected near the narrow-gauge railway of Gulbene-Aluksne railway. Together good work was done to keep the environment tidy, green and pleasant.
From April 12 to April 16 Alessia invited to Italian Week offering a variety of learning activities for children of all groups. Pizzas were made, the Leaning tower of Pisa was built. Alessia introduced children with Pinocchio- the hero of the Italian writer Carlos Callodi. Alessia's father and aunt had prepared a musical greeting for all the children and pre-school workers.
